Comments from the winemaker
Marlene Rossman’s Review:

A stunning example of Sonoma Coast Pinot with aromatics of violets, cherries and berries and a savory spice box of cinnamon, cardamom and herbes de provence.

This  beautifully balanced and restrained wine is clearly inspired by Burgundy.

The 2010 LaRue Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is solely from the Rice-Spivak vineyard, which is a seven acre vineyard southwest of the town of Sebastopol. The soils on this vineyard are Goldridge sandy loam along with volcanic ash. The Goldridge is very
common for the area, while the volcanic ash is quite unusual. This distinctive soil profile along with the clonal selections
of Dijon and Swan creates a wine that is balanced with good acidity, fresh aromas and unmistakable minerality.
