Comments from the winemaker

Marlene says:

“Lagrein is a relatively obscure variety from the Südtirol/Alto Adige region of northern Italy. It is rarely planted in Oregon.

Lagrein is a tannic grape, but, under a skilled winemaker’s hands (Remy Drabkin) hands, it makes a beautiful, violet-hued, savory, mixed berry-flavored wine.”

Winemaker, Remy Drabkin says:

“Remy Wines Lagrein, takes it’s time. With 29 months of barrel aging, we think you will find it quite engaging.”
