Comments from the winemaker

Marlene says:

“Classic Cabernet — elegant, with ripe black berry fruit, plums, mocha, a bit of earth and sweet pipe tobacco.

It’s a medium-bodied claret-style Cab, that’s perfectly balanced with good acidity and soft tannins.”

Winemaker, Heidi von der Mehden says:

“Our 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from primarily organic or sustainably-farmed vineyards along the benches, hillsides and mountains of Sonoma County. This appellation is ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon because it has the ability to fully ripen fruit without sacrificing elegance and structure.

Arrowood Cabernet Sauvignon captures the character of each site, blending them to tell a story both of vintage, and of the distinct terroir that is Sonoma County.”
