2013 Sonoma Valley CRUSH

Almost 20 wineries in one place!

If a wine lover could conjure up the perfect version of paradise, it would probably include rows of beautiful vines from one of California’s best known wineries.  If only they could truly become a part of its great experience then they would be truly satisfied. Well, its coming…

It’s the 2013 Sonoma Valley Crush Festival happening September 27–29.  Seventeen wineries throughout the Heart of Sonoma Valley will participate in this ‘Hands-On’ Harvest Experience. Guests get behind-the-scenes and see what’s actually happening during harvest.

For three days, wineries will be offering a variety of Harvest Activities including Grape Sampling in the vineyards, Crush Pad tours, samples of Fresh Pressed Juice and grapes picked fresh off the vine including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. Guests will even taste a wine while it’s fermenting!

Learn to read a Refractometer and gain a deeper understanding about the importance of the balance between sugar and acid levels in wine grapes. Meet with and ask Winemakers questions about harvest.

The three-day festival takes place at 17 wineries throughout the valley on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, September 27, 28 and 29 from 11 a.m.–4 p.m.

“We invite anyone who has ever romanticized about getting involved with harvest, hands-on to co me out to the 2013 Sonoma Valley Crush event. It’s going to be unforgettable.” Said Josie Gay, Executive Director.
